INKBIRD PLUS Dual-laser Digital Infrared Temperature Gun Review:
Before obtaining this product, I had been using a cheap $20 temp gun from Amazon. I never really trusted the readings, and I'd often get extremely inaccurate readings. I decided I needed a higher quality temp gun that would give me a more precise reading. The only problem was, most good temp guns were at least $80. I was looking to spend as little money as possible, but even so I thought I'd have to settle for a more expensive one. That's when INKBIRD sent me this one to review. I loved it! It's relatively inexpensive, accurate to about 2* F in either direction, and it had some amazing features. It's really everything you could want from a temp gun!
Below is my video review on the product, and below that is my written review, as well as a promo code to get 15% off this product.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the carrying case. I did not realize this product came with one, so it was a pleasant surprise. I also noticed that it came with a battery. That was great, because I generally don't have 9v batteries on hand, and I didn't want to have to buy some seperately.
Another thing I noticed was the dual-laser. This item has two lasers, that gradually get closer together the closer or further away the temp gun moves from the object its being pointed at. For most accurate readings, move the temp gun until the two lasers are merged into one. That will be at a distance of about 14 inches.
Looking at the instruction manual, it says the temp gun is accurate to about 2 degrees F in either direction. That is pretty accurate for a relatively cheap temp gun, and I'll admit, I had my doubts. Most temp guns say they are accurate, but most aren't. I decided there was only one way to tell just how accurate this temp gun really is. I compared it, a cheap $20 temp gun, and a professional thermometer. All three registered similar temperatures. Then, I compared the temp guns with the temps in my gecko enclosures. The INKBIRD PLUS temp gun was very consistent, while the $20 one read 82* F one minute and 91* F the next! Therefore, as far as accuracy goes, the INKBIRD PLUS temp gun preformed well. That would have been enough for me, I mean, it measures temp accurately, what more could I want? But there's more.
The INKBIRD PLUS temp gun has several extra features. First, and most important, it has an adjustable emmissivity. This means you can adjust the temp gun so it is more accurate on certain materials.
Second, it has a high temp alarm and a low temp alarm. This means it will either have the high alarm go off if the temp is higher than the set high temp alarm, or the low temp alarm will go off if the temp is lower than the low temp alarm set temp. This is very useful if you are not necessarily going to be looking at the screen while using the temp gun. You won't have to look unless you hear the alarm.
Third, it has min/max readings, meaning that it will tell you what the lowest temperature recorded and what the highest temperature recorded was for the duration of time you were holding the trigger.
Fourth, and last, it shows the difference between the min/max readings, and it shows the average between them.
As you can see, there are a several useful features with this product. And for $40, this is well worth it. I'm either going to give this product a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars, or 5 out of 5 stars. Either way, it does it's job well and accurately, as well as being relatively inexpensive. So if you are looking for a quality, relatively inexpensive temp gun, this is a great place to start looking.
